A Clownfish goes for a swim in the deep dark ocean. On his way, he encounters several dangerous animals (an Octopus, a Sea Snake and a Shark). Each of these sea animals (eager to eat the Clownfish) invites him to their home for a meal. The protagonist of the story declines each offer by telling each animal that he is going to have a meal with his friend, an Angrufish, whose favourite food happens to be the relevant animal. Each of these sea animals (eager to eat the Clownfish) invites him to their home for a meal. The protagonist of the story declines each offer by telling each animal that he is going to have a meal with his friend, an Angrufish, whose favourite food happens to be the relevant animal. The fish describes the terrible features of his mysterious friend. Frightened that the Angrufish might eat them, each sea animal swims away. Meanwhile, the Clownfish boats that his mysterious friend doesn’t exist.
Then, the Clownfish is
shocked to encounter a real Angrufish, with all the frightening features the
Clownfish thought he was inventing. The Angrufish threatens to eat the fish,
but again the Clownfish is more cunning. He tells the Angrufish that he is the scariest sea animal in the ocean.
Laughing, the Angrufish agrees to swim after him to demonstrate how everyone is
afraid of him. The two swim in the ocean, encountering all the sea animals that
had earlier menaced the fish. Each one of them is terrified by the sight of the
pair and swims away. Exploiting this, the Clownfish threatens to eat the
Angrufish, who himself swims away, terribly afraid of the Clownfish.
CHARACTERS
There are five characters in the Angrufish: a Clownfish, an Octopus, a
Sea Snake, a Shark and an Angrufish.
CHARACTER OBJECTIVES
THE CLOWNFISH is the protagonist
of the story, who happens to come across three dangerous sea animals, an
Octopus, a Sea Snake and a Shark. He proves through the story that he is
the most intelligent sea animal in the story by tricking the others into
thinking that he is the most frightful sea animal in the ocean.
THE OCTOPUS is a conceited sea animal. He is combing his tentacles when
he comes across the protagonist. He is very hungry so he tries his best to eat
the Clownfish. He proves to be very naive
since he believes everything the Clownfish tells him.
THE SEA SNAKE is a bad-tempered sea animal. He is the second animal to
encounter the Clownfish. He also tried to eat the Clownfish but once more, the
Clownfish proved to be much more intelligent and got rid of him.
THE SHARK is the third and last sea animal to encounter the Clownfish.
He seems to be very subborn. He is very hungry as well and tries desperately to
eat the Clownfish.
THE ANGRUFISH is the fictitious friend the Clownfish mentions all the
time in the story. In the end, he becomes real with all the frightening
features the Clownfish had described him.

Stela, you have created both a charming and funny story. I like the way in which the poor Clownfish manages to fool other animals that are supposed to be stronger than him. And your students in first and second year of ESO are bound to love this idea. I find your outline really appropriate for level 3 students as they will be delighted by the animal characters you have created.
ResponderEliminarAlthough it is an outline with very few characters, just five and not secondary ones, I like the way in which you make it possible for all the students in the class to take an active part by creating groups of students and swapping the scenes so that every group acts out all the scenes of the story. It will take some time but I think it's worth doing as all students will work with the whole script.
I would like to know how the relationship between the Clownfish and the Angrufigh develops. It seems to me that the Octopus, the Sea Snake and the Shark are the baddies in the story but it would be great if the Clownfish and the Angrufish became real friends at the end of the script.
I'm sure your students will have a great time learning and performing all the scenes. Good luck with it!
